I come here for lacrosse games played on the field which is nice. The campus is only a couple of years old and looks modern and clean.

There was a problem with my loan not applying to my tuition and we clarified the problem earlier this year. When I looked up information about remaining balances it said the credits from the remaining balance wouldn’t be counted but nothing about them sending it to collections. Nor was this ever mentioned when I emailed or called. Then I obviously couldn’t take classes while saving for the remaining balance and I didn’t look at the student email because if I’m not enrolled why would I? I received a letter in the mail saying they sent my balance to collections and went to email someone and then saw the emails about it being sent to collections. If it is time sensitive information why would they not call the number on file? When I checked my balance it was still there so I don’t understand what sending it to collections does but add more fees and make it more difficult to pay off. The person I emailed couldn’t have cared less and was cold about the emails sent. I just think if it is TIME SENSITIVE INFORMATION why would you NOT call the number to inform the person? Do these people want you to graduate or do they only care about money? Like thanks! Now I have $500 of added fees on top of the remaining balance I was saving up to pay off (obviously I was going to pay this I literally am so close to finishing) barring me from getting my degree. This is just my review about SBS not even mentioning the problems with advisors and limited classes.

Don't go here. All I read and hear is problems here. It is so expensive for half the care and quality of san jac. The teachers could careless, you will teach yourself most classes and if you are stem like me you should start looking for another university. Most stem classes are taught by the same 4 teachers. If you plan to do coding get ready to tech yourself programming, take mid term reviews that have nothing to do with the test themselves, and professor locher acts like she cares, but doesn't. I asked for one on one help with her and she seemed annoyed I was interrupting her email time and still didn't help me learn anything. I am taking this class for the third time paying out of pocket and see no hope for my future now.

I really enjoy the student life here and most of the staff here is friendly, but overall the lack of professors and class schedule availablity is very disturbing. Classes that are available during the day is very limited and a majority are only offered at night plus a good 3/4 of the classes are taught by the same professors. The STEM department is very underfunded, I feel that this college is missing out on a big opportunity since the general area around here is next up and coming medical center (League City, Webster, Clear Lake, etc.). These two have been a big issue that have come up a lot when talking to other students. Another drawback of this campus is that you cannot graduate on time due to the lack of open class availablity. Also, this university is not a friendly parent student, so if you are a student that has kids I would look elsewhere. Overall, I feel like this is a very underfunded univeristy that needs a lot of improvement and it is sad to say that the community colleges are better than this one.

Don't waste your time and please look away. There are so many better opportunities out there than this college. I did my MSF here but had a problem with my roommate. The college decided it's a good idea to do whatever they want and now I've been harassed for over 4 years. That's 4 years of my life wasted and the harassment keeps going. Please look away. College staff is not ethical and they'll do to you what was done to me. The harassment has caused so much constant anger that it has caused me health problems. I lost my eyesight for a week and I am currently suffering from postural headaches. Please don't waste your time here. You're better off investing your time somewhere else.

This University is trash. They can't keep professors, but their tuition keeps going up. Don't expect any help from your advisor because they won't be in your field of work and have zero clue about your major. They are business people only. The STEM department has drama in it so they are a mess. Expect to be in a class of 50 in a tiny room using garbage computer programs that are always expensive or vague and then not be able to receive any help from anyone. Student Involvement and Leadership office is garbage. DO NOT COME HERE! I KNOW SOME PEOPLE MAY HAVE NO OTHER OPTION BUT YOU MUST FIND A WAY TO GET TO A GOOD UNIVESITY.
