Chef Yves provided our family with an excellent, customized cooking class. Our teenage daughters loved learning to make a vegetable paella, fish, chicken, and almond cake. It was a wonderful afternoon and absolutely worth the drive out of Barcelona. A highlight of our trip!

We visited Yves in his house (castle!) for a tapas making class while on a work trip. He worked with us (a group of 8) to guide us through how to cook 6 different dishes and made us all look very professional! He was a lovely man too and we thoroughly enjoyed his class.

When visiting Barcelona, we wanted to have a true Spanish culinary experience. Fortunately Yves led us on that experience in his kitchen (and then on his rooftop with a beautiful view of Barcelona while dining). We started our experience with Yves at one of the famous Barcelona markets to build the menu and buy fresh ingredients. Our teenage daughters loved it as well. I highly recommend Yves if you want to create authentic Spanish cuisine with an exceptional chef while in Barcelona!

I visited Barcelona with a group of friends and this was by far the most AMAZING experience! From the moment Yves picks you up till the time you are finished you will have a once in a life time experience. If you are looking for a custom, market to table, hands on cooking tour this is the only experience I would recommend. This isn’t only a cooking tour, Yves takes you through the market and teaches you about local food, the history of Barcelona, different regional dishes and anything else you can think to ask him about. For anyone who has dietary restrictions this is a tour that will not disappoint. Since Yves helps you decide on a custom multi course menu he can conform to any dietary requests all while using fresh ingredients and helping you learn how to cook. As someone who has high expectations for food and wine quality I was blown away by the customization and the overall quality of everything during this experience. There is nothing I would have changed about the day my fiends and I had.

I gave our cooking experience with Yves 5 stars because we truly have a special evening. Our teenage children were completely engaged during the entire shopping and cooking experience. We felt welcome and comfortable in Yves home, had an amazing dinner and drank wonderful wine. We loved learning and participating in the local culture of Barcelona, not as a tourist, but as a guest.

We took a cruise from Rome to Barcelona with the kids (18, 15, 13, 10) and spent one evening with Yves for the market tour and cooking. This was the highlight of the trip for all of us. Such a great experience to really enjoy the wonderful food of Barcelona. We have since sent friends to Yves and will definitely do this again the next time we make the trip.

Our private cooking class with Yves exceeded our expectations and was the highlight of our trip to Barcelona. Learning from and spending time with a local family made us feel right at home.
