Me & my wife went there for a college tour since I'll be transferring here soon within the next year. The person that gave the tour did a wonderful job and was very knowledgeable with answering all my questions. The campus is very beautiful ❤️ I had great fun just exploring with on the tour, they no have me sold on transferring to here with all the available things for the students! ? Can't wait.

I graduated in 2020 and the changes since then have been extreme and terribly negative. Taking away key subjects that contribute to the Liberal Arts destroys UNCA’s long standing reputation. Jobs are being lost and education is being thrown away for the sake of profit. The Chancellor has lost her mind. STEM isn’t everything. What’s next?

UNCA is a very special place and is an integral part of the north Asheville community. The campus is beautiful and wooded and is a peaceful green space within busy modern day Asheville. It continues to offer highest quality education, particularly the Fine Art department. It’s time for a new Performing Arts building with an auditorium that will draw more performers to campus! I hope the state will budget for this asap.

My friend has been a professor there and shared this sad news. Majors in Ancient Mediterranean Studies/classics, philosophy, drama and religious studies are to be cut, with cuts in modern languages as well.

Beautiful Historic Campus. The Aesthetics and Vibes of this place is everything you would expect of University Campus in the Mountains.

The beautiful campus, loving and dedicated faculty, peaceful atmosphere, and great academics make this school fantastic. My one disclaimer is that students tend to create a pretty quiet, studious environment and people clear out considerably on the weekends. It can get a bit quiet since it's a smaller school, but people are generally friendly.

Sorry, I don't care how beautiful the campus is like many of the others here. I find that this school lacks in so many ways that I have officially reached the point where I will refer to A-B Tech as my alma mater. My chief grievances are in how this school treats its non-residential students. They never enforce parking, allowing residential students to park in our lot at all times, every day. I have been late to class because of this, wasted my time and gas because of this, and my car has been nicked in the overfilled parking lot, yes, I believe, because of this. I pay $220 every year for parking that I am not guaranteed and that is insane. Parking was free at A-B Tech and they still enforced the hell out of parking, so what's UNCA's problem? There are no cameras in the parking lots either, which would have been great to have when my car was hit and the person left without leaving a note. Bottom line, if you are a nonresidential student, a parent, and/or a non-traditional student, you are second class at this school.
I have loved my professors, and do find that the education has been excellent overall, but I think that should be expected. If it's not expected, I don't count on UNCA to handle it, whatever the 'it' might be.

Wonderful school tucked away in the mountains. Some of the classes for particular programs tend to be timed poorly but it just means an extra semester at this amazing facility.
After a few years now, I am still impressed with classes over all. The administration on the other hand needs a reality check. They still held finals during a snow storm without notice or consideration to any of the students.
