If I could rate 0 stars i would... the disorganization in this school absolutely blows my mind. You force students to wait for hours on end just to be able to speak with someone about schedule planning or graduation planning. On top of that you make students wait for hours, just to tell them they aren't able to be seen that day because you guys are "at capacity." It is ridiculous that you have around 10 advisors for nearly 50,000 students. The College of Business needs to do better and be more understanding towards the people that pay money to attend this school. I don't understand how you guys expect students to wait and sit in the business building for hours, while still having classes to attend. I am highly disappointed and hope you guys do better, because I know I am not the only one that is not satisfied.

If I could give it zero stars I would. DARREL JOHNSON the dean’s assistant shows no compassion or care for students nonetheless does most staff members under him. It’s impossible to reach anyone over the phone. Try calling them right now and if there’s a miracle and they answer they’ll tell you to email them. If you go in person for advising. They make you form a line and wait till the advising window opens. They’ll have up to 80 students in line and will only help 40 and the rest of them have to try again another day. This college is run poorly by numerous people that do not care for the well being or success of their student.

5th year at this school because guidance misleads me into taking the wrong classes. they don't even have the space for the students that need help. I called the office for help and they told me to email them. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE PHONE! TO WASTE OUR TIME?! also signed u for class when they said that my scholarship would cover it. they lied to me and had to pay 1k out of pocket. really unorganized

UCF as a whole is beautiful, clean, and offers many opportunities as well as quality education to its students.

Recently the College of Business has completely changed. For some it is good. For most it is bad.
COBA now only offers REAL Reduced Seating for its pre-req courses. This means students go to class 5-6 times a semester (on pre-scheduled dates) fo complete quizzes, and are expected to learn by watching multiple 1-5 min long videos on their own.
They really forced students to teach themselves, rather than have actual lectures with real student-professor interaction.

With all that said, some students do prefer this as they are able to stay home more, rather than come to campus everyday. This is a blessing for those who have long commutes, and those with full-time jobs. But for most students, this is more of an educational hinderance, especially since most students are passing for the grades and not the knowledge.

The COBA does, however, provide great opportunities for its business students. They offer Study Abroad Programs, JCPenny Suit up events (GREAT DEAL ON SUITS. SAVED 300 on a whole business outfit), multiple networking and internship fairs, and they also bring in many business workers to The Exchange to offer insight to students.

The GEB 3005,3006, and the rest are a series of 4-5 classes taught by Lonny Butcher. These classes are mostly a waste of time and money. The goal is to get students in to a job by graduation. This is a good concept, however, we are spending a lot of money for the same material over and over. It is also not a “learning” class. It is more of a “go out and do activities for points” class. I think it is great for freshmen and transfer students to take at first, but unnecessary for other students, especially the ones that already have good business jobs.

Avoid at all cost, go to USF they are more professional there when it comes to students education. How can UCF not afford to hire more professors? I'm surprised they don’t even have administrative advisors for the college of professional business. It's not even professional to use students as advisers. with the number of fees, they charge their students where does the money go? why are they not investing it into their students? I literally had to pay fifty cents just to be able to take my exam. Plus the amount of holds they put on your account is ridiculous, at USF I rarely have any holds on my account.

Employers ask for students who graduate to have stronger Excel strengths. UCF School of Business Dean Jarley's response?
Let's take this course offered at EVERY other college in the nation and make it worth 1 credit, force students to enroll in it for 4 semesters, and create the most busy work that will have 0 effect on student's post college performance and take time away from actual classes that are benefiting these students. College of Business needs to get their act together if they are really trying to produce solid graduates.

The building's fine but the college of Business needs to be adjusted.

1. FIRE LONNY BUTCHER
2. Get rid of REAL classes. Nobody learns in those.

Terrible Education. The REAL format coba curriculum is bad since you only get to meet a few times and don't learn anything. They don't tell newcomers about this online format when signing up. Avoid this institution at all costs. STAY FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE! IT'S A SCAM!
