I went here to play disc golf over Memorial Day Weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the course, and its celebration of native trees and wildflowers - truly an example of how we can coexist with nature. Today I learned it is being paved over to become a parking lot. Truly a shortsighted move on the part of the university, and I'm curious to hear what, if anything, the university plans to do to mitigate the urban heat island effects, habitat loss, and shrinking community resources and mental health benefits of removing a public park resulting from this action.

A school without any credit. They may not allow the student to register for school suddenly for some strange reason even if the semester starts soon and you have gotten their admission and I-20. If you want to transfer your SEVIS-CODE, they will ask you for 500$. I suspect that they release too many admissions. Therefore, they use this way to reduce freshmen and then extract more money.

For such a large university, they are disorganized, have poor pedagogical strategies, and could care less about student success. There are no means of reporting poor teaching and organization from the lecturers other than an end of semestersurvey, but at that point whats the use . If you look at lecturer ratings, it shows that data from student surveys are clearly ingnored. This university is like a gigantic high school. Test don't match content taught, syllabus and schedule of assignments is non existant. It feels as if the professors have not planned at all and are making up assignments as they go. They randomly post assignments to elearing with a two - or three day turnaround, which keeps you from being able to effectively manage your time. The math department is horrible. It's a widely known fact to take math classes at Richland . Just check reddit before you apply here. Edit: I will say, they need to make more of an effort ensure professors speak intelligible English. You pay thousands of dollars to self teach because you can't understand the professor. Also the housing situation is horrible. You will be forced to live off campus. Just a warning, if you don't have enough money for off campus housing don't go here because if you are not a commuter you will be left homeless.

Great place.. Has given me an opportunity to meet diversified people and learn from them. It has been the fastest growing University in the United States, it feels me great that I'm a part of such a great school. # Comets # Whoosh
