While we've been to Medina multiple times in recent past to visit family + friends, this is my first visit to the public library. I'm not sure the age of this facility, but it appears to be brand new.

I'm sitting here in a quiet "study room" working, a welcome getaway from the hustle and bustle of local coffee shops. I tried to test the speed of their internet connection but I can't get the Speedtest app to run, either the standalone app or the browser version.

I'm quite impressed by the library! It's clean fresh, all the employees have been very nice, and it's quiet. There is ample parking, both on and off street, despite being in downtown Medina. Amazing there aren't more people taking advantage of it.

Oh yeah, they have books too. 🙂

We come to Medina frequently, so I may try to apply for a library card, if that's possible.

This library is amazing! I have not been to one with such a diverse experience for adults and children alike. The first floor for the kids is a wonderful experience from the setup for the books, to the Olay area, computer stations and honeybee area. If you live near by you should come check it out, and everyone should support your local libraries. They are so awesome and bring so much content and programs to your home for FREE. Get away from streaming services in your home and come out to your community services. Such a delight!

I've loved this library for as long as I can remember. It has gotten disappointing though. I go there to read and write, and the kids in the teen room are so loud that I have had to leave. It's a library, not a playground.
Even some of the staff has been so loud laughing with others, that I've had to go to the third floor to focus, and even then I could still hear them. We need to bring peace and quiet back to libraries.
I've also placed holds on books online that say they are on the shelf, but 1-2 days will pass and the employees still haven't picked them up for me, so I've had to go and get them myself. I really do love this library and hope it gets better.

This was our first visit to the Medina library and we loved it. Primarily going for our little one to see what they have, and there is a ton. Plenty of books, toys computers and many other activities. They even had a bee display for the kids to check out. If you have not been I highly recommend it! ❤️

Our county library system is an amazing resource for so many things! The pictures here are from a program through the library where local guest chefs come in to interact with and teach the kids after school.
The main branch library is a gathering place and leaning hub for the whole community, but especially kids after school. We are blessed to have this awesome resource in our community!!

I had a really negative experience with the Medina Library yesterday. My daughter who is in 2nd grade is very much into Manga and drawing in general. Our district high school art teacher has commented that her manga is incredible for her age. So I wanted to find some resources for her and the library is the first place I thought of. I saw there are some manga and arts related activities but they are for teenage group. I knew some of the content may not be appropriate like demons, monsters, etc. but there are still some that would be appropriate for a child content wise. So I asked the library if it would be ok for my daughter to try one of those. The library staff flatly denied and said that those are specifically reserved for teens only. The teens would not feel comfortable if a child shows up (as if they are going to be some inappropriate things). I offered to be there with my daughter and the staff said, the teens would not be comfortable if an adult is there. I’m not their parent, so I don’t really care how they behave, and if I feel it’s inappropriate for my daughter we will absolutely leave. I’m just baffled how a public library can refuse a patron just based on age!? It’s as if they don’t care if your child is different and may need some special support. Very very disappointing experience.

I love the library, it has so many free public resources and friendly helpful employees. There's always something cool involving the community, I especially love seeing the high school art displays. Currently the summer reading program is in full swing, with reward baskets and free books for kids. They have a great computer lab and maker space as well. I hope a young adult reading program can be added! I would also wish they were open Sundays.

A shout out to the Medina County District Library!!! This is a wonderful library!!! It’s so beautiful inside and so well stocked!!! Everyone is so helpful for here. It’s very easy to order books online and then pick them up. They have been practicing Covid safety at the library since the beginning of Covid. I’m so happy that this library is more open now.
