Business-minded company. A government school is much much better than this horrible one. I wonder who these fooled parents are to send their children to this hopeless company. No proper body to make strong decision-making in education aspect.

My experience with LEEDS International School, Galle Brunch turned out to be negative:

- phisical punishment
- racial intolerance and bullying
- lack of education control
- unprofessional management
- a school can't be called international if all the parents meeting are held in local language without translation into an international one
- once they get your admission fee and payment, you stop existing for school, its their business, not educational process.

The teachers practice phisical punishments - they can hit child's hands with the rulers, hit their backs, promised to keep them in the sun as a punishment. Would you agree to that?

My child faced bullying based on race and nationality difference and the school did nothing to stop it, - they just kept saying they will review the matter. The issue became obvious only when the kid started to fight back and local moms came with complaints, then teachers started to punish kids for a single act of agression, without teaching them how to communicate. The school teaches "not to bully", but nobody explains the kids what it means.

The school closes the gates at 7:30 and doesn't allow kids who are 5-10 mins late to enter the class untill the next lesson starts. And there is nobody with them while the kids are outside in the unfenced parking with a blind turn to the main road - perfect time for stray dogs or strangers to come over. When I specifically discussed the point of late arrivals before paying the admission fee, i said that as we live far it's hard to guarantee being at 7:30 sharp with rains and traffic, we may be late. They said "it's ok to come before 7:45", but no, they changed their mind without any official notification.

The management demonstrates disrespect: they can ignore your questions, can say u smth like "now u go" and wave a hand.

All school big meetings are in Singhala with no translation into English. Parents receive texts like "this meeting is mandatory, don't skip it and bring simple excuses", but nobody cares you spend 2 hours of sitting there without any understanding of what they are talking about.

The school is more focused in child's haircut, shoes, shorts, rather on their learning.
There is no educational control: If a child misses the classes noone ever sent me any topics i could cover with him, while i specifically requested.

When I shared my experience in parents community in telegram chats and in person, it turned out that many parents had same negative experience with this school. There were complaints, that foreign children came back with cut uniform, they witnessed local children being hit, resulting the students failing A tests, and the only measure that helped was transferring to another school.
When parents tried to get some explanation from school, they were not allowed to enter because of the way they were dressed. Is this really the way to manage an international school?

Seems like this is not the private conflict, this is school official position.

It used to be a very good 7,8 years before . And now it is worst, not only Galle, ambalangoda even panadura. My both kids still are going to Galle. I don’t have any other options than sending there, coz there is no any other good school around there. There r no qualify teachers and they r nonstop changing.

This is an International school which has a good reputation. Qualified and result oriented staff is allocated to the school. English medium school which is competitively give good education.
