Took my vehicle there after I did my emissions test & failed. I was told my car would be there for two days so they can inspect & fix the vehicle. I ended up waiting a whole week for nothing to be done. I had to keep calling to get an update on my vehicle & all they could do was push it back another day. I got fed up waiting so long & I was getting no answers from them didn’t seem like he care If had a vehicle or not. After waiting a week with no direction of what’s happening. I went to pick up the car they didn’t say anything to me at all just gave me my keys. Took the car to a mechanic in Elgin & he was able to fix the car the next day & pass the emissions test.

Overcharged!!!
If you compare price with another shops around they charge triple. So they charged me $450 to replace starter (I bought starter) labor only, if you go anywhere around price will be $150, max $200.

Avoid this location.

You will not find a better mechanic nor a nicer person. Gerry and his team are, of course, very skilled at what they do; however, they go far beyond and treat you with the utmost respect and courtesy. Their customer service is what I would call "old school" - like back when people actually cared about your business and you as a person. They explain everything that is going on with your car in plain terms so that anyone can understand. They give you options and solutions rather than terminology that you don't understand and prices that make you ill. Many a business could learn a lesson from B & B Auto. Why does B & B get so many great reviews - simple ... they do exactly what they say they will, they do the job well, they do it on time and for an excellent price.

Recently, I had two cars with issues at the exact same time. Gerry got one up and running in the same day, fixed the other and then came back to fix another minor issue on the first car. Absolutely remarkable service when I needed it most.

If you are contemplating using B & B Auto - stop reading this and get over there! You will be happy that you did.

Jerry, the owner, is fantastic. He treats his customers amazingly well and doesn't find extra things to fix. I've had good success with my service and repairs being turned around in a good amount of time for fair prices. If you're searching for a mechanic, please give this place a chance!
