Dr.Silva seemed nice the two times I met him. However, I was supposed to have a surgery to remove my uvula and glomus tympanicum tumor from my right ear back in April. Sadly due to having strep for 3 months I was not cleared for surgery. I was trying to work with Jeff to reschedule but his communication was extremely poor and unprofessional. I had to come up to the office multiple times in person because my calls were ignored for weeks at a time. The office manager Kathy was very rude and not compassionate at al hanging up on incoming calls. For someone like myself who had two tumors it is a very scary time, being concerned with cancer.
I was told by Jeff they would reschedule me for June or July but then I never received a call. The last time I walked in back June I asked to please put me in as a place holder for October (which would be a whole year after I found out about my two tumors) but was assured by Jeff it would not be that long that they wanted to get me rescheduled for June or July. I was not even allowed an appointment for my other ear pain until this surgery was done. It is now almost September and I have not had a call. So I went to Hopkins and already had my uvula biopsied which could have been done months ago and not just opting to take the whole uvula off without knowing what the growth was.
I am severely disappointed in this office and they way they conduct business. I recommend someone helping Jeff organize his side of scheduling because he clearly cannot handle his work load or just doesn't care. I would not allow any clients into his office with his desk covered in medication, papers everywhere it just shows on the outside the mess and lack of organization which reflects in his work. Making empty promises should be frowned upon. If there are no make up surgery dates just say so. Had I not asked to be placed on the list it would probably be another year out into the future. Save yourself and go to another ENT or just John Hopkins there are professionals out there do not give up hope.

We love Dr Silva and his office. I have taken 3 of my kids to him for different reasons and each time he diagnoses the problems accurately and cautiously. His bedside manner is fantastic, he always gives options and lets me feel like I’m at the wheel, making the final choice, never bullied into surgeries or treatments I don’t feel comfortable with. We had great experience with surgery outcomes and speedy recoveries.
My only negative is how hard it is to get in…he is TOO good at his job, and too popular!

We were never able to see Dr. Silva. His availability is few and far in between. Once we had an appointment, it was cancelled, and rescheduled. Then that rescheduled appointment was cancelled while we were en route to his office. We ended up seeing his PA after begging to make our trip worth it (and still ended up waiting over an hour to be seen). Very unprofessional and upsetting as our infant needs immediate care. Going to a more reliable provider.

I can't say enough about Dr Silvia and his team. He has helped my two sons and my husband. He does this with grace, humor and compassion. He spends time with you and doesn't make you feel rushed. He cares about his patients and shows that incredible "bed side manner" that many doctors are missing. He most recently placed tubes in my son's ears and as a mother, I felt comfort knowing he was in good hands. Also, to his "sidekick" Jeff in scheduling. What an amazing person he is. He makes things happen!! What a wonderful addition he is to the team. You will not go wrong with Dr. Silvia. He is the best of the best!

Have been a patient since 2007 and I can say Dr. Silva is one of the most professional doctors I have been to. I have had multiple surgeries conducted with Dr. Silva and no complaints at all. I had major sinus issues that were corrected in 2009 and recently had my tonsils removed with no complications.

Extremely disappointed. I was referred by multiple families to Dr. Silva for my toddlers recurring ear infections. The day we were seen we waited over an hr and a half to see the PA (annoying, but I work in healthcare so I understand some days are rough). Was told to call Jeff/office manager to set up surgery and I've called (more like chased) at least 5 times and never have received a call back. Will take my son elsewhere at this point.

My son is a high school athlete and had some seriously impacted sinuses. Dr. Silva met personally with us, explained both the positives and possible negatives of sinus surgery for him, and the follow up care after the surgery was exceptional. Our son can breathe, smell, and sleep without snoring/sneezing, etc, and we are very grateful. Dr. Silva is both realistic and caring, and explained everything so that we could understand it.

Dr. Silva and his staff are very nice and pleasant people.
But unfortunately I had a terrible experience with them.
The day before my septum surgery they called me to reschedule it to 45 days later, because they scheduled it in the wrong facility.
When it finally happened, they started my surgery with about a five hour delay.
The night of the surgery, I was left without painkillers, because they accidentally sent my prescription to a wrong pharmacy.
But all this is nothing, comparing to the end result of the surgery.
MY BREATHING IS SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE THAN IT’S EVER BEEN BEFORE THE SURGERY!!
I asked Dr. Silva to undo it, but he said that not everything that is done can be undone, and referred me away to a different surgeon.
That other surgeon was not too eager to be fixing somebody else’s screwup‘s.
The nostril that was breathing at about 50% capacity, now completely collapses to the point that I cannot take a breath in!
My nose is PERMANENTLY DAMAGED for life and I am horrified!
I think I need a lawyer.
