Great little college campus. Pretty clean, students seem kind enough and engaged. Being in the middle of the meth capital of the US is the biggest turn off.

Located in the heart of West Virginia’s Appalachian area, Marshall University shines bright as an academic lighthouse for the entire region. Aside from operating a medical school, the university maintains large number of majors and awards Numerous degrees. Anyone associated with Marshall knows that the university six to integrate students faculty and staff into the fabric of the community. Alumni remain faithful after graduation.

I've seen the movie. I had no idea this beautiful University was in this little town. We marvelled at its size and beauty. I'm quite sure it has everything a high school senior would need to further ones education.
I will always be a fan.

For this area, MU is where you want your kids to go to school. Great University setting with a beautiful clean landscape and modernized facilities. If it wasn't for MU, Huntington would have already became the next Detroit ghetto. Thank you Marshall University.

Well-mapped out campus with visible signs sitting in quiet Huntington, you will love it here as an international student just like I did.

It was hell. People were prowling around the edge of campus asking for money, sometimes even nocking on my apartment door for it (it was barely outside campus bounds). The lack of greenery in the neighborhood made it depressing. I have Asperger Syndrome and ADD and they said they had accommodations that would help me. They might as well have lied. The tutor they recommended quit on his own and insulted me to my face halfway through the semester. They stuck me in a class with a student with a severe case of tourettes that made loud noises throughout class. Combined with my ADD I couldn't pay attention to the teacher even though I loved the class itself. Several times I wanted to commit suicide. Worse of all, when I tried to get into another college a teacher who I thought I had a good relationship with wrote a bad letter of recommendation. When I tried to talk to him he threw me out of his office.
