I approached eTEFL Online Teacher Training after I had gone 3 months without a single offer of work after completing a 250-hour TEFL course with another company. I was interested in their mentoring course as well as their practicum course. The mentorship programme with Zander was an eye opener. We tend to think we will land work off the bat once we qualify. However, the truth is that it takes a lot of work to get noticed, and that is only after you have done all the work that no one tells you about, like learn how to use Zoom and other conference platforms, create your Paypal account and learn how to navigate through its loops, establish if you will teach on platforms that ask you to create your own teaching materials and curriculum or if you will teach using supplied materials, will you be a freelancer or work for a broker, creating a profile and personalized introduction video and acing interviews if you manage to land any...so much to do! So overwhelming! Zander and Jody took the sting out of it and hold your hand as much as they possibly can to get you on track (other than sit in your class with you, which I am sure they would do if it would help you). You won't be sorry to get acquainted with them. Getting the first class under your belt in the practicum will free you up to be yourself online. I will recommend eTEFL Online Teacher Training to anyone who wants to teach online.

Are you finding that after your TEFL qualification that something is stopping you from applying for jobs? Are you lacking in confidence because you are doubting your teaching skills as you have never taught before? Are you even wondering whom you should teach, i.e, children or adults? Should you go freelance or start with a company? How do you even go about doing a video for a job interview? These were all questions I had that were stopping me from making any forward moves in my TEFL career. Yes, you can watch endless YouTube videos of people telling you how they did it, but sometimes you need someone to critique you and give you feedback as others see you.
I had gained my TEFL from another company, but I reached out to eTEFL Online because they were offering something different - a mentoring program. Jody was really helpful in tailoring this so that the mentoring package didn't include the TEFL, as I didn't need this. I can honestly say it was well worth the investment because all my questions were answered. I learnt how to create a video and how to craft a CV that would get the right attention from employers. Best of all, I learnt that I am actually quite good at teaching children when all along I thought I was going to start out teaching adults!
Zander is an incredibly hard-working mentor and gives you detailed and insightful advice. He really knows the TEFL industry from the inside out. As a freelance teacher, he has plenty of tips on how to get TEFL students onboard and keep them interested. He is also experienced at getting jobs with teaching companies and knows what employers want from their teachers.
