When I first moved to Germany, my employer paid for the German lessons. It took us 2 years before we ran out of the paid lessons. There were two of us taking the class together with Barbara. She gave us a strategic cookbook we learned (still learning, but it makes sense) to use with everyday conversation. My German speaking skills are still minimal. But that's on me. My understanding of German has vastly improved and I'm able to follow it.
We continue to learn with Barbara to this day, on our own dime, and are improving with the speaking part.
As a teacher, and the LbT-languages, they are both professional and add personal caring touch that really facilitates "Learning By Talking". I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to learn German or English.

LbT - Learning by Talking is, for me, a language school that is so holistically dedicated to the topic of "learning languages" tailored to your needs that I was able to develop enormously within a few weeks/months in my working fields as well as privately. I am absolutely thrilled with the trainers and can honestly recommend LbT-languages to everyone. You can tell that they love what they do! They take away the fear and worries that everyone automatically has when learning a new language. You learn to really apply everything you have learned. In short, they give you the confidence to learn and apply a language while talking. Taking and making phone calls, writing emails and even presenting to an audience at work - you won’t believe it, but it’s true - it’s fun now! I really enjoy it! Thank you for this experience!

After my move in Munich, I tried many different German classes (Intensive, group,...) and I didn't feel comfortable enough to speak in public. My company, at that time, was also working with LbT-Languages and give me the chance to start regular german classes in group with LbT-Languages.
I have to say that it changes my perception of learning a language. From thinking that I could not learn a new language to start speaking with work colleagues and friends in German.
Barbara understood my way of learning and adjust her style to give me the confidence that I need.

I am very thankful for that and still amazed that I am now able to work and lead meetings in German.
